Antivirus and Firewall Permission Assignment for DeskGate

Proper antivirus and firewall permissions are required for DeskGate to operate reliably. Blocking executable files or service folders may cause connection issues, service interruptions, or unexpected behavior.

Antivirus Permission Requirements

DeskGate requires full access permissions in antivirus software. All related folders must be excluded from scanning and real-time protection.

Please assign full authorization using wildcard access such as:

*.*

Firewall Permission Notice

Attention: If you are using a firewall, ensure that DeskGate executables and services are explicitly allowed.

Blocking inbound or outbound traffic may prevent agents and server components from communicating correctly.

Server Folder Authorization

Grant full antivirus and firewall permissions to the following server installation directory:

C:\Program Files\DeskGate Server\

This folder contains core services responsible for connection handling, data processing, and system management.

Client (User) Folder Authorization

For client-side agents, full permission must be assigned to:

C:\Program Files\ITSupport\

This ensures uninterrupted agent startup, background services, and secure communication with the DeskGate server.

To maintain maximum stability and performance, always configure antivirus and firewall software to fully trust DeskGate components. Proper authorization prevents false positives, connection drops, and service disruptions.
